World in Miniature at Berkshire Museum

world-in-miniature
One of the Current Collections at the Berkshire Museum is the World in Miniature by Louis Paul Jonas. This collection features fourteen miniature scenes of animals and plants in their native habitats. The World in Miniature dioramas were created by Louis Paul Jonas, a sculptor and taxidermist whose work has appeared in museums around the world. These dioramas were built to one-tenth scale, and illustrate the ecology and geography of locations across the globe, including African Water Hole; Amazon Jungle; Rocky Mountains; Mount Kilimanjaro; Lions on the Serengeti Plain; Australia; Arctic Ocean; and Alaska, to name a few.
