Drop Forge & Tool provides access to the creative process by providing time and space to create; opportunities to learn, practice and hone a craft; and unique events to engage, entertain, and inspire our community. With two spaces in Hudson, residencies are open to artists and makers of all disciplines, backgrounds, and skill levels, who seek time and space away from their daily lives to focus on their creative process.
Drop Forge & Tool hosts a monthly #HandcraftNight. June’s night will feature special guest, Jen Hewett, teacher and author of “Print, Pattern, Sew: Block-Printing Basics + Simple Sewing Projects for an Inspired Wardrobe.” Participants can drop in with any portable handcraft project to work on, work on one of the community quilts, and enjoy some snacks and beverages.
Because sharp tools are used, this class is limited to adult students.
Supplies: All the special tools needed will be supplied, as well as a yard of cotton muslin fabric to practice on.
