Kickstart your month outdoors with Olana’s Free First Weekend Wanderings, now through May. 

Kickstart your month outdoors with Olana’s Free First Weekend Wanderings, now through May. Learn more about Olana and its artist-designed landscape during hour long walking tours beginning at the Wagon House Education Center at the historic farm complex. Each tour will cover a different portion of Olana’s 250-acre landscape and 5 miles of carriage roads. This gentle walk will cover about 1 mile; please wear weather-appropriate apparel and comfortable footwear.

The Copake Country Club’s Winter Chill-Out Penguin Party is Saturday, February 27th. 

The Copake Country Club’s Winter Chill-Out Penguin Party is Saturday, February 27th. Bundle up, grab your snow gear & hang out on the club’s snow covered hills while enjoying an outdoor bar, grab takeout for a winter picnic by the bonfire, or warm up inside with lunch or dinner after.

Use of the grounds & winter chill-out games are free and open to the public, bring your own equipment, reservations required for dining indoors.

Hudson Polar Plunge 2021, Feb 27

The Friends of Hudson Youth are bringing back The Plunge with an icy cold splash on February 27th!

The Friends of Hudson Youth are bringing back The Plunge with an icy cold splash on February 27th! This year will be playing it HUDSON SAFE. Brave hearted plungers will still jump into Oakdale Lake’s frigid water, in staggered shifts, while spectators can enjoy the show via live stream only, starting at 11am.

Funds raised by the Plunge support two fundamental Hudson institutions. They enable the Fire Department Water Rescue & Dive Team to acquire new and improved life saving equipment and enhance the skills of their team through advanced training exercises. And it allows the Youth Department to maintain a a robust Lifeguard Program. The Lifeguard program allows a broad cross section of our community to enjoy free summer time recreation at Oakdale Lake and gives local youth a dynamic workforce development opportunity.  To make a donation, visit https://secure.qgiv.com/event/oakdale-plunge-2021/donate/
