When I bought and moved into my house, the month was December. Several months later the Lebanon Valley Speedway opened for the summer season, and I discovered that the sounds from the speedway can be heard at my house. Luckily, I’m far enough that it’s usually just a low buzzing noise in the distance. Over the years Ive actually grown to like the sound. For one thing, it reminds me that it’s summer. The other reason I like it is that I live on a quiet road and am surrounded by woods – it’s secluded, so I like hearing the sounds and knowing that there is something happening down in the valley.
The 2018 season kicks off this Saturday with the 66th Grand Season Opening, featuring L&M Motors & Sayer’s Auto Wrecking’s $3000 Modified Event. To see the full schedule for the season, click here. And, if you have never been to the speedway for an event, definitely check it out this summer – it’s always a fun time.
