Join Roeliff Jansen Library for live music with local musician Kris Jensen. Savor the scenic views from Roeliff Jansen Park while enjoying an afternoon of American songbook jazz. Kris will be accompanied by Linda Ransom on vocals, Matt Dwonszyk on bass, and special guests Larry Ham on piano and Jocelyn Pleasant on percussion.

This concert will be at the Hilltop Barn, Roe Jan Park, across the street from the Library. Lawn chairs appreciated.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature and administered in Columbia County by the Greene County Council on the Arts dba Create Council for the Arts .

Guided Nature Hikes at Catamount

Catamount is introducing Guided Nature Hikes. Explore Catamount beyond its trails by foot on a guided hike in the snow with an experienced naturalist.

Explore winter in the Berkshires at Catamount Mountain Resort! Reserve a guided tour for a tranquil walk through the snow. Learn about wildlife, trees, geology, and history of the mountain from an experienced naturalist.

There are two levels of hikes – a 90 minute adventure, and a 150 minute hike.

90 Minute Adventures are recommended for all ages. Never been snowshoeing or winter hiking? No problem! Learn how with the 90 minute adventure. You will walk along flat and steep terrain for over an hour. Depending on snow conditions, you will either use snowshoes, microspikes, or a good pair of boots to help you with traction along the way. Please call ahead for weather and snow conditions for the day you would like to reserve.

150 Minute Adventures are designed for those who are familiar with hiking in winter climates and are comfortable with steep terrain. The experience will cover over a mile of mountain trails. Breaks will be taken to enjoy the scenery and learn about nature, history, geology and more.

DATE/TIME: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays during Winter 2021 / 10am – 12:30pm
150 minute adventures depart at 10am. 90 minute adventures depart at 1pm.

Celebrate St. Catty’s Day at Catamount on Saturday, March 14th.

Celebrate St. Catty’s Day at Catamount on Saturday, March 14th. Gold coins will be hidden throughout the mountain, and guests get to search for them while they ski and hang out at Catamount. When a coin is found, the guest can turn them into the Main Office and they will get to pull a number out of the bag. Each prize will have a number attached to it. Prizes include T-shirts from local breweries, jeep bags, thermoses, hats, monthly membership to the Berkshire South community center, and more. The Grand Prize will be a 2020/2021 Berkshire SUMMIT Seasons Pass.

This Tuesday, February 18th, Catamount is hosting a Rossignol Demo Day.

Rossignol will be at Catamount for you to try out their latest equipment. Come out and go for a few laps with your favorites. Featuring 2020 and 2021 equipment. Try different skis and boards throughout the day.

Family/Friend Night Skiing at Catamount, Jan 18

Family/Friend Night Skiing at Catamount Mountain Resort on Saturday, January 18.

What better way to start 2020 than with a night of skiing and riding with your family and friends. This is a new launch program with affordable lift ticket packages, rental equipment, and one-hour lessons.

Additional Family/Friend Night dates will include: February 1st, February 15th, February 22nd and March 7th.

Catamount Mountain Resort features 40 trails with snowmaking, and a 1000 foot vertical drop.

COST: $20 – $85
The cost for two tickets is $55, three tickets is $65, four tickets is $75, and five tickets is $85.

If you need rental equipment, the cost will only be $20. If you want to sharpen your skiing or riding skills, one hour group lesson will only cost $20, too. Rentals and Lessons can be purchased individually.
