The Two Of Us Productions, the award winning theater company based in Columbia County NY, in collaboration with Friends of The Copake Grange, presents a staged reading of two classic radio dramas on Saturday, February 5th.

“Two Knives” – Police officer Scott Anderson is a pleasant easy-going chief of police in a small town, A simple case of arresting a wanted murderer suddenly changes into a perplexing case of a prison cell death and the dead man’s estranged wife showing up to see the body!

“Diary of Saphronia Winters” recounts a relaxing Florida vacation where Saphronia is romanced by a handsome thrilling-looking man who owns a large vacation hotel in Maine. A romantic but quick wedding, a train ride to the secluded hotel in Maine, what could possibly go wrong when he invites her out onto the hotel lawn?

This will be a zoom presentation, free for all, but registration is required to obtain the zoom link.

February is Library Lovers Month. Stop by the downstairs circulation desk Mondays through Fridays in February and the Library’s Expert Matchmaker Rosemary Calvey will set you up with the book of your dreams or, at the very least, a blind date with a fun read.

Love Your Library Month – Guess Who? Book Character Contest. Bring your child to the library to guess who the silhouetted book characters are in the downstairs display cabinet. If guessed correctly, win a prize.

The 2econd Saturday Hudson Gallery Crawl is back for another month of galleries, shops and restaurants keeping their lights on and doors open late.  On Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 5-8pm

The 2econd Saturday Hudson Gallery Crawl is back for another month of galleries, shops and restaurants keeping their lights on and doors open late.  On Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 5-8pm grab the hand of a loved one and toast to art and the love of life at the openings and artists’ receptions happening in over a dozen galleries around town.  Enjoy the culture and community of Hudson and take advantage of the special offers available at restaurants, bars, and retail stores should you need a last minute Saint Valentine’s Day gift or just something special to keep you warm.  

Swing by Hudson Hall at the historic Hudson Opera House for the 2022 Hudson Jazz Festival, February 10-13 and 17-20 and curated by creative producer Cat Henry.  Entitled “Lift Every Voice,” after the Black national anthem, the eight-day festival conveys a message of hope and revival and celebrates the artistry of Black jazz musicians and their innovation of the genre.  Also, In the Hall’s galleries you can see “LOOK AGAIN” showcasing five artists’ dedication to experimentation in color, form, and content; curated by Mike Mosby.  

If you’re looking for something to do before the crawl 2econd Saturday is perfect for skiing in Windham, snowshoeing over the grounds of Art Omi, taking in the view from Olana and seeing how this all started at the home of Thomas Cole, founder of the Hudson River School of painting.
