Two Of Us Productions Presents The Sound of Murder, Jan 13

The Two Of Us Productions, presents The Sounds of Murder, a dinner theater production on Friday, January 13th. 

The CKGR Radio Playhouse Of The Air is coming to Copake Falls NY., broadcasting live from the tasty buffet room at Our Lady Of Hope Parish. If this show doesn’t go well the station will go out of business. It certainly doesn’t help that the station owner’s daughter is trying to sabotage the show! The radio mystery becomes too real when someone actually kicks the bucket.

This murder mystery is sure to please, with suspense, love, strange noises, and a cast of wacky characters including: producer Frederika Farnsworth, dramatic radio actors Gilbert De Bernaise & Vivian Fredricksberg, novice actor Shelly Stalling, the station owner’s daughter Roberta, and Foley artist “Foley” Roberts. You’ll always remember THE SOUND OF MURDER.

The Sound Of Murder on Friday the 13th will be performed live and in-person on Friday January 13th, 2023. A buffet dinner is included with the show. The doors open at 5:00 pm for salad & fellowship. The show begins at 5:30 pm. Enjoy a great night out to beat the winter blues and support Our Lady of Hope Parish.

The Two Of Us Productions is well known throughout the Hudson Valley for presenting quality theater, both musicals and dramas. Their recent productions of Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, Young Frankenstein, Deathtrap, Chicago, Les Miserables, next to normal, Mamma Mia! and Jesus Christ Superstar were all recognized by the Theatre Association of NYS with multiple awards, including outstanding work by the company & outstanding performance by the orchestra. Reviews of their recent virtual live-staged readings of three Arthur Miller scripts; All My Sons, Broken Glass, and an adaption of An Enemy Of The People will appear in upcoming editions of The Arthur Miller Journal.

Two Of Us Productions Presents 12 Angry Jurors, Oct 21 – 23

The Two Of Us Productions, presents 12 Angry Jurors. This production puts you, the audience, in the midst of the jury deliberations of a homicide trial. A dozen local citizens are entrusted with deciding the fate of a teenage boy accused of murdering his abusive father. As the play opens, our 12 jurors are nearly unanimous in concluding the youth is guilty. One juror dissents, declaring the young man "not guilty" and proceeding to sow a seed of reasonable doubt . As the emotionally charged jury deliberations proceed you are a right there as our jury struggles to understand the sworn testimony of several witnesses, to decide for themselves what is credible and what is “reasonable doubt”. The jury’s decision is a surprise that you don’t want to miss.

​12 Angry Jurors features Brian Yorck, Zach Nayer, John Leinung, Debra Hughes, Kevin Hunt, Elaine Leinung, Karissa Payson, Connie Lopez, Diane Boice-Yorck, Candi Wood, Mark Leinung, and Cyndi Miller as the 12 jurors deciding a murder trial, supported by a voiceover by local attorney Lance Miner as the Judge.

Two Of Us Productions Presents The Copake Quintet, Jul 27

The Two Of Us Productions, the award winning theater company based in Columbia County, is pleased to present The Copake Quintet for an evening of live music in collaboration with The Claverack Free Library. The Quintet will be appearing on Wednesday evening July 27th for some great live music along with the Food Truck Wednesday event at the Library.

The Copake Quintet plays a great combination of pop, jazz & American Songbook music, featuring Connie Lopez on vocals, Steve Sanborn on woodwinds, Andrew Stein on keyboard & vocals, Steve Turowski on drums, and on Zach Nayer on bass & vocals.

This nice evening of live music runs along with Food Truck Wednesday at the Claverack Library, so come out to enjoy some great good and great music on a nice summer evening!  

This appearance by The Copake Quintet is FREE to the public. This live music performance is made possible with funds from the Restart NY Regrants, a grant program of the New York Stute Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature und administered in Columbia County by CREATE Council on the Arts.

A Shayna Maidel (“My Pretty Girl”) Presented by Two Of Us Productions

The Two Of Us Productions,  the award winning theater company based in Columbia County NY, continues their return to live in-person theater with A Shayna Maidel, the Obie and Outer Critics Circle award winning drama by Barbara Lebow. Presented in the intimate Marylin and Bob Laurie Foundation Gallery at the Claverack Free Library in Claverack, you don’t want to miss this exploration of human strength and frailty punctuated by moments of humor & hope. 

A Shayna Maidel, Yiddish meaning “pretty girl,” tells the story of the reunion of two sisters after World War II, one having survived the Nazi concentration camps. A Shayna Maidel is a memory play in that it is set in three times: when Mordechai Weiss is born in 1876, when his two daughters (Rose White and Lusia Weiss Pechenik) are reunited in New York City during the present (1946), and when Lusia has flashbacks of her life in Poland immediately before and after the Holocaust. 

A Shayna Maidel features Karissa Payson as Rose White, John Leiunug as Morcechai Weiss, Constance Lopez as Lusia Weiss Pechenik, Sorelle Brauth as Mama (Liba Eisenman Weiss), Cathy Hunt-Wheelock as Hanna and Mark Leinung as Duvid Pechenik. The Gallery at the newly renovated Claverack Free Library provides an intimate performance space that brings the audience into this gripping family drama. 

The Claverack Free Library requires masking for these performances. Masks are available for those that need them.

The Two Of Us Productions,  the award winning theater company based in Columbia County NY, presents a fun & tasty murder mystery dinner theater in collaboration with the Clock Tower Pub in Copake on April 23rd. Come for some good food & enjoy a great murder mystery presentation of “Trouble At The Tropicabana”.

It’s time to traipse down to the newest and hottest club in town, The TROPICABANA Club. The new TROPICABANA Club in the Dining Room at the Clock Tower Pub in Copake NY is hosting a stellar evening of music by Ricky Bacardi and his Latin All-Stars band. Lucy will be there too, along with Fred, Ethel and the other club guests.You’ll hear Ricky & the band play some Latin favorites, meet movie mogul heiress Celia B. DeMilo; Mr. Big, a notorious gangster; and Ricky’s cousin Rosario.
