This Friday is Friends of Clermont’s final Little Sprouts for July.

This Friday is Friends of Clermont’s final Little Sprouts for July. Little Sprouts is an informal playgroup in the Harvesting History Teaching Garden! Led by garden educator Leslie Reed, young children will play in the garden, harvest and eat veggies, learn some garden themed stories, songs and finger plays. Recommended for children ages 2-4 (must be accompanied by an adult). Drop-ins are welcome.

Copake Auction to Auction 1962 Buick Invicta. Proceeds Will go to Roeliff Jansen Library

Copake Auction will be auctioning off a classic 1962 Buick Invicta hardtop this Saturday during an Online Estate Auction. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Roeliff Jansen Community Library.

Copake Auction will be auctioning off a classic 1962 Buick Invicta hardtop this Saturday during an Online Estate Auction. Proceeds from the sale will be donated to Roeliff Jansen Community Library.

This is a remarkable chance to purchase a classic car with the rare Wildcat Nail Head V8 Barrel Engine, and do good for the community at the same time. The car is in mint condition with original upholstery, factory-installed air conditioning, and many other original details. Experts believe the paint to be original as well.

NYS Coronavirus Update: Message to Young People

According to Governor Cuomo, we are seeing a statistically significant increase in the COVID infection rate in 21- to 30-year-olds.

According to Governor Cuomo, we are seeing a statistically significant increase in the COVID infection rate in 21- to 30-year-olds. Cuomo wants people to remember that young people can get seriously sick and some will die from the virus. Young people can bring it home and give it to others inadvertently. To deliver the message, NY launched a social and PSA campaign to communicate the hard facts to young people.

Friends of Clermont’s History Hour on the Main Porch, Jul 25

Join Friends of Cleremont for History Hour on the Main Porch, this Saturday, July 25th at 11am and 1pm.

Join Friends of Clermont for History Hour on the Main Porch, this Saturday, July 25th at 11am and 1pm. Costumed interpreters will read a selection of picture books, covering the Hudson Valley’s history from colonial times to the early 20th century. Different stories will be read at each story hour.  A wonderful outing for families!  Our youngest visitors are invited to join us in costume. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

PLEASE NOTE: Clermont follows all NYS Department of Health guidelines for safety during the COVID 19 pandemic. Masks and social distancing will be required of all participants until these guidelines are lifted by New York State Parks.
