polar-express-2016-poster-finalThe Roeliff Jansen Community Library is hosting a Polar Express Party this Friday. The holiday themed event will feature a special, new telling of the Polar Express story, hot cocoa, and a visit with Santa, in a winter wonderland of surprises.

DETAILS:
December 2, 2016. 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Attendees are invited to wear pajamas to the event.

The library will close at 3:00 Friday to prepare for the party.

WHERE:
The Roeliff Jansen Community Library is located at 9091 Rt. 22, approximately 3/4 mile south of the light at the Hillsdale intersection of Routes 22 and 23.
The Party will take place in the Community and Children’s Room of the library.

The New Lebanon Library is hosting it’s monthly LEGO Building Club this Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 4:30 PM.

The hour long club provides the LEGOs, and kids will get to check out each other’s creations when done. LEGO builds will then be on display at the library.

Festival of Trees 2016 at Berkshire Museum

screen-shot-2016-11-16-at-7-59-34-pmThe Festival of Trees at the Berkshire Museum in downtown Pittsfield, MA, is an annual holiday tradition that has grown from a handful of holiday trees, to an exhibition of more than 100 decorated trees. This year’s theme for the decorations is a celebration of cinema, titled Now Playing: Festival of Trees 2016!

The organizations, businesses, and schools that participate in the Festival of Trees came up with innovative and original ways to decorate their movie-themed trees. Visitors can expect to see holiday trees that celebrate the classics of the cinema, including High NoonStar Wars, Casablanca, Jaws, and the best of the Disney studios.
