The town of New Lebanon’s “Music in the Park” series takes place this Sunday during the town’s Community Picnic.

Local musician Doug Banker will be performing with The Echoes and with Linda Worster at the August 21st Music in the Park event. Doug, a co-founder of Music in the Park and The Echoes band, has been “retired” from live performance during the pandemic. But he has tuned up his ukulele for this event!

The songs he will perform with Linda are intended as a tribute to David Grover, who passed away in November 2021. Dave played with Linda at Music in the Park events in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. They performed together for many years at the New Lebanon Library as well. As an “honorary citizen” of New Lebanon, he will be missed. Come and sing along with Linda and Doug to show your love for this wonderful musician.

Food and beverages, including wine and craft beers, will be sold during the performances.

Clermont State Historic Site presents Harmonies on the Hudson Concert Series featuring The Gold Hope Duo on Thursday, August 18th.

When Ameripolitan Award winning artist Lara Hope teams up with internationally touring, upright bass-slapping pro Matt “The Knife” Goldpaugh, they become…THE GOLD HOPE DUO! Living by the motto “If you can’t do it, kazoo it!”, this pair is sure to make you laugh, dance, and sing along!
