Join Art Omi as they celebrate the opening of a new exhibition in the Newmark Gallery. Art Omi is excited to present Portia Munson: Flood, an immersive exhibition on view from June 25 to September 25. Portia Munson is a local artist who has spent over two decades creating large-scale, monochromatic installations that tease out cultural codes hidden in the mass-produced items that surround us.
For a full list of programs and events throughout the year, visit artomi.org/calendar.
Also on June 25, Art Omi welcomes a new sculptural commission by Cuban artist Alexandre Arrechea (bottom right) comprised of many interactive basketball hoops, as well as a long-term installation by Chilean artist Iván Navarro (bottom left) – utilizing the form of water towers to explore ideas of immigration and resources. Learn more about these exhibitions on Art Omi’s site and register for the opening HERE.
