Rensselaer County to Distribute Cloth Face Masks to Residents, Apr 29

Rensselaer County will distribute free cloth face masks to county residents this Wednesday (April 29) as part of efforts to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Rensselaer County will distribute free cloth face masks to county residents this Wednesday (April 29) as part of efforts to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The free masks will be available at the following five locations from 4pm to 6 pm:

  • County Government Center, 1600 7th Ave., downtown Troy
  • Schodack Town Hall, 265 Schuurman Road, Schodack (address for GPS is 265 Schuurman Road, Castleton, NY 12033)
  • Schaghticoke Town Hall, 290 Northline Drive, Schaghticoke (address for GPS is 290 Northline Drive, Melrose, NY 12121)
  • North Hoosick Fire Department, 22106 NY Route 22, North Hoosick
  • Stephentown Fire Department Fire Hall, 35 Grange Hall Road, Stephentown

At all locations, motorists will be asked to pull their vehicles into the parking area. A package of masks will be handed through the window. Residents should bring a driver’s license as proof of county residence.

  1. Sadly, the free face masks being distributed at Schodack Town Hall from 4-6 p.m. today were depleted by 4:45. Very disappointing!
