On February 2, Punxsutawney Phil comes out of his burrow on Gobbler’s Knob in Pennsylvania, in front of thousands of faithful followers from all over the world, to predict the weather for the rest of the winter. At Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center where Pamela Price, Certified Wildlife Biologist and Education Program Coordinator will give a brief talk about Phil and facts about the groundhog. We will also take a short walk on the trail to enjoy the brisk winter air and get a little exercise.
Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District (www.ccswcd.org) provides educational programs and services to help residents and communities manage and protect the natural resources of Columbia County.
