Tannery Pond Concerts announces their 2018 Gala to be held on Saturday, May 26th at 5:00 p.m. This Gala concert, their second, will feature the Brentano String Quartet performing with a Tannery favorite, three-time Grammy nominated clarinetist, Todd Palmer.
They will be performing Johannes Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet in B Minor, Op. 115 and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s K.428. Additionally, they will be performing two pieces that reflect their interest in very old and very new music: Three Madrigals by Carlo Gesualdo, a genius of the late Renaissance, and “Soft Power” by the 28-year-old rising star composer, Matthew Aucoin.
Following the concert will be champagne and hors d’oeuvres with the artists in the tent next to the Tannery.
