NY’s Annual Holiday Toy, Coat, School Supply Drive

The holiday donation drive will benefit families in need across the state and runs through December 16th.

This year has been difficult for more families than any time in recent memory. The holiday donation drive will benefit families in need across the state and runs through December 16th. Donations of new unwrapped toys, coats and school supplies are being sought to assist community-based organizations during the holiday giving season. Drop-off locations are set up around the State and COVID-19 protocols will be in place to ensure the safety of those dropping off donations.

Following is the list of NY State drop-off locations. If your town or community doesn’t have a state drop-off, then check with your town’s site for local donation options.

The drop-off locations are as follows:

The Roeliff Jansen Library is bringing back their Gingerbread House Decorating event for kids, beginning December 5

The Roeliff Jansen Library is bringing back their Gingerbread House Decorating event for kids, beginning December 5. Get ready for the holidays by decorating your very own gingerbread house! Children can sign-up to receive a free gingerbread house decorating kit by emailing youth@roejanlibrary.org or calling 518-325-4101.

Children who then bring in their decorated house for display at the library will receive a free holiday book from Santa, shipped straight from the North Pole! The houses will remain on display at the library until December 19; afterwards, kids are free to take their houses home if they choose to.
