Winter Barn Party is this Saturday, March 7, 2020. Join Hawthorne Valley for a festive evening with delicious food & drinks in support of Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School. Live music by Lyla Coe.

Hosted by Elizabeth Adams & Alex Sierck with food by Rivertown Lodge donated by Kim Bucci & Wes Golby. The evening will also feature wine & specialty cocktail.

(This is a grown-up party)

Columbia Land Conservancy Monthly Gathering – January Nature Night: Moths, Jan 9

The Columbia Land Conservancy is presenting monthly gatherings in their office to learn about different topics and the fascinating work members of our community are doing to protect and engage with the land.

January’s theme is Moths of Columbia County with Dylan Cipkowski of the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program: A night delving into the mystery of moths! Focusing on the many moths we have right here in Columbia County, Dylan will discuss the importance of moths and the research being conducted by the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program. He’ll share ways for all of us to live and operate as land stewards with a more moth-minded approach.

Refreshments will be served.

Hawthorne Valley’s
 Annual Fall Festival celebration takes place on Sunday, October 13.

Every autumn, Hawthorne Valley offers the Fall Festival as a free public event to thank  donors, customers, volunteers, community members, and local vendors for their support and partnership. The Festival is the perfect opportunity to get to know Hawthorne Valley’s diverse initiatives and experience the beauty of autumn in Columbia County. Over the years, the Festival has grown into a seasonal favorite with over 3,000 people attending from the Hudson Valley, New York City, and beyond.

The Fall Festival features many local artisans and vendors, live music, local food, children’s crafts and activities, hay rides, cider pressing, horse rides, pumpkin decorating, a school open house and more!

Hawthorne Valley Community School Yard Sale, Jun 9

Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School
is hosting a Community Yard Sale on Sunday, June 9th.

This is a school fundraiser as well as making the grounds available for the wider community to sell their wares utilizing Hawthorne Valley as a central community space. Although the deadline for vendor sign-up is passed, all are invited to come out on Sunday and shop.
