Saturday Night Fever at the Mac-Haydn Theatre

The Mac-Haydn Theatre’s 2017 season is currently in the middle of it’s Saturday Night Fever run, which goes until July 23.

Featuring the biggest hits of the decade by The Bee-Gees, this disco inferno of a show will have you dancing down memory lane and longing for the days of bell bottoms and boogie shoes. The epic hits include “Jive Talkin,” “Night Fever” and “Stayin Alive!”

Based on the real-life courtship between Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, THE BIG SICK tells the story of Pakistan-born aspiring comedian Kumail (Nanjiani), who connects with grad student Emily (Kazan) after one of his standup sets. However, what they thought would be just a one-night stand blossoms into the real thing, which complicates the life that is expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents. When Emily is beset with a mystery illness, it forces Kumail to navigate the medical crisis with her parents, Beth and Terry (Holly Hunter and Ray Romano) who he’s never met, while dealing with the emotional tug-of-war between his family and his heart. Chatham’s 41st Annual Summerfest took place this past Saturday. The annual street fair featured performers, artists, vendors, and food trucks. It was a great day, even with the ominous afternoon storm that rolled through town.
