According to the Mac-Haydn Theatre, Mamma Mia! is the theatre’s most requested musical in it’s history. The show opened at Mac-Haydn on July 5, and the word-of-mouth reviews agree – it’s fantastic.

Betsy Padamonsky leads the all star cast as Donna, revisiting a role she has performed on The National Tour and regionally. Broadway World said of her performance as Donna: “Padamonsky is quite the revelation in that she really brings her own interpretation… Padamonsky focuses on the lyrics and Donna’s motivation with each number showcasing her character’s independent streak.” We are so excited to have her with us.

Joining her are the magnificent Madison Stratton as Tanya. Our audiences will best remember her as The Lady of The Lake in last season’s hillarious SpamalotErin Spears and Kelly Gabrielle Murphyround out the wonderful women in our cast. Spears has been seen in numerous roles with us including Alice Beineke in Addams Family and Sister Mary Patrick in Sister Act. Murphy is well remembered as a beautiful Johanna in our haunting Sweeney Todd last season.

Three Mac-Haydn favorites return as the men of the piece. Gabe Belyeuas Sam, Colin Pritchard as Bill, and Steve Hassmer as Harry.

The inventive and high energy Bryan Knowlton directs and choreographs. A veteran of Mac-Haydn, Bryan’s directorial work includesLa Cage Aux Folles and last season’s Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor DreamcoatKevin Gleason designs the sets and Bethany Marx designs the costumes.

Running for 3 big weeks and featuring all the biggest ABBA hits, Mamma Mia! is so much fun, we are certain that once will not be enough! Get your tickets today as the season is selling out fast.
