Dogs of any breed or mix, with or without credentials, are welcome to show up and show off during the Berkshire Community College Foundation’s tenth Anniversary “Not Your Average Dog Show.”
Sample categories include “Best Trick,” “Best Smile,” “Best Dressed,” “Best Hair,” and “Mystery Mutt” where volunteer judges try to guess the breeds of the dogs.

Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra Performs Madama Butterfly at FDR High School, Hyde Park
The Opera will be performed in the auditorium of Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park and features soprano Maryann Mootos, mezzo-soprano Antonella Delli Carpini and tenor Victor Khodadad.

Billed as an “Opera Ritaglia”, this performance has been designed to appeal to a wide audience by shortening the typically three act opera to two acts while retaining the most beloved songs and storyline.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students. They can be purchased on the orchestra’s web site at www.ndsorchestra.org or at the box office on the evening of the performance starting at 6:45pm.

Albany Symphony Orchestra: Verdir’s Requiem at Palace Theatre
The Albany Symphony Orchestra perform’s Verdir’s Requiem, a choral masterpiece that is part sacred masterwork and full-blooded Italian opera. The Requiem features four operatic soloists and a chorus of 130 voices.
The performance begins at 7:30pm and runs to midnight.
