A new international trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrived a few days ago. The latest trailer gives us more of Jyn Erso’s backstory through flashback scenes to her childhood. We also get to see the Death Star in action, and Darth Vader!

This week is the last chance to check out the exhibition, “Follies, Function & Form: Imagining Olana’s Summer House,” at Olana.
The 1886 Plan of Olana is highly accurate, however, the plans contain a mysterious structure labeled “Summer House”. According the the Olana site, “Summer houses were common in early American gardens and public landscapes, yet there is no documentary evidence about the style or form of this structure at Olana”. The exhibition asked 21 architects and landscape architects to imagine what the summer house and it’s environs might look like, then sketch those ideas, much in the way Frederic Church used sketches to convey his design and architectural ideas. Each designer was free to explore and combine historic and contemporary design themes.
This exhibition is organized by The Olana Partnership, in collaboration with the New York Chapters of The American Institute of Architects (AIANY) and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA-NY).

The exhibition, which opened in August, will close on Sunday, November 13. Until then, it is open 10am-5pm at the Coachman’s House Gallery, and is free.

The New Lebanon Library is hosting it’s monthly Lego Club on Tuesday, November 8. The library will provide the Legos, so all kids need to bring is their imagination. After each build, kids will have a chance to check out each other’s creations and the library will display the completed construction sets.
The Block Party will take place Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm. For ages of 5 – 12. Lego donations are very welcome!

Tomorrow night at the New Lebanon Library, the library will host it’s bi-weekly discussion group that studies the American Constitution.
Join fellow Constitution enthusiasts for a discussion group focusing on the study of the American Constitution. Interested participants should bring their questions and be ready to share their opinions.
The group will meet Monday, November 7 at the library, at 7pm (to 9pm). It is free and open to the public.
