Barnes & Noble has free ebooks for kids. They can be accessed via the Nook Reading App, which is available for Android, iOS and Windows.

Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters around the country today, and that includes our own,  Crandell Theatre in Chatham. New Lebanon Library Celebrates Star Wars Day (May 4) w/ Fine Discounts

“May the 4th be with you”. What started as a pun shared by Star Wars fans has become a full-fledged Star Wars holiday, and an annual celebration of the galaxy far, far away. This year, the New Lebanon Library is joining the celebration with a fun idea for overdue fines.

Here are the details:
If you can recite a Star Wars quote (3+ words), and the movie it came from, the library will take $1 off any existing fines (Only one per patron)
$5 off fines for an outstanding costume (Brownie points awarded for effort. T-Shirts don’t count).
$5 off fines for a passable Chewbacca imitation (the library will play a sound byte for you first).

Final Days At The Crandell – Star Wars: The Last Jedi

If you haven’t seen Star Wars: The Last Jedi at the Crandell Theater yet, you only have a few more days until it leaves.

This film is the middle of the current trilogy (VIII, if you’re counting), and boasts of a stellar cast including Tom HardyAdam DriverAndy SerkisLaura DernBenicio Del ToroDomhnall GleasonOscar Isaac, and Lupita Nyong’o, as well as the late Carrie FisherDaisy RidleyMark Hamill, and John Boyega.
