Tim Fain, Violinist/Composer, Performs w/ Roman Rabinovich & Eugenia Zukerman at Hudson Hall

Acclaimed violinist and film composer, Tim Fain, will perform with pianist Roman Rabinovich and flutist Eugenia Zukerman at Hudson Hall in the Hudson Opera House. The concert is the second in the Classics on Hudson inaugural season at the newly restored historic landmark.

The program, titled First Loves and Fresh Ink, will include works from Fain’s most recent album, as well as works by Philip Glass, Bach’s Trio Sonata in G Major, Praeludium and Allegro by Fritz Kreisler, Cesar Franck’s Sonata for violin and piano, and Fain’s remix of Tchaikovsky’s ballet classic, Swan Lake.

Mac-Haydn Theatre 2017 Season Line-up

The Mac-Haydn Theatre’s schedule for the 2017 season is packed with classics, contemporaries, and comedies. The season kicks off with Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat later this month, and wraps with Cabaret in September.

Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

You’ve seen it here before but not like this! This fresh and new production of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s enduring masterpiece will make you want to Go-Go-Go! Hit songs include “Any Dream Will Do,” “Those Canaan Days,” and the rousing “Mega-Mix.”

June 8 – June 18
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Two con men, a beautiful woman and the elite of the French Riviera collide in this sexy and irreverent farce. Featuring a delightfully jazzy score, this 11-time Tony nominated musical is sure to keep you laughing hysterically and guessing all the way ’til the end!

June 22 – July 2
Anything Goes

Set sail on this classic Cole Porter adventure aboard The SS American! This hilarious boy meets girl comedy on the high seas features some of the most magical songs in musical theatre history. Hits like “DeLovely,” “I Get a Kick Out Of You,” “Friendship” and the show stopping “Blow Gabriel” are sure to please!

July 6 – July 23
Saturday Night Fever

Here it is Folks-The most requested show of the summer! Featuring the biggest hits of the decade by The Bee-Gees, this disco inferno of a show will have you dancing down memory lane and longing for the days of bell bottoms and boogie shoes. The epic hits include “Jive Talkin,” “Night Fever” and “Stayin Alive!”

July 27 – August 6
Sweeney Todd

Set against the backdrop of 19th century London, this witty and delicious Tony Award winning classic is sure to shock, awe, and thrill you like no other. This worldwide smash hit soars with hit songs like “The Worst Pies in London,” “Johanna,” “Not While I’m Around,” and the hauntingly beautiful “Pretty Women.”

August 10 – August 20
Spamalot

Monty Python and The Holy Grail is the inspiration for this outrageous Tony Award winning best musical! Follow King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table while they encounter killer rabbits and beautiful showgirls on the quest to find the Holy Grail. Get ready for big laughs here folks!

August 24 – September 3
Hello Dolly

One of the greatest musicals of all time, Hello Dolly is sure to send you into the fall season with a heart full of hope and love. That’s right! Dolly is back and ready to change lives including her own. Hit songs include “Before The Parade Passes By,” “Dancing,” “It Only Takes a Moment” and the title song “Hello Dolly!”

OMI Arts Center Exhibit, ‘ReActor’ by Alex Schweder & Ward Shelley

ReActor, 2016, Wood and concrete, 16’x44’x8′

ReActor is part of an experimental, performative series of “social relationship architecture” designed and built by internationally renowned architect-artist duo Alex Schweder and Ward Shelley.

Located in Architecture Omi’s Field 01, ReActor is a habitable sculpture, where Schweder + Shelley will live in full view of Omi’s audience. The 44-foot by 8-foot structure rotates 360-degrees atop a 15-foot concrete column in response to its inhabitants’ movements, exterior forces, and interior conditions, making visible the intimate relationship between architecture and its inhabitants.

Hudson Hall Christens Restored Theater w/ Season of Performers Redefining Classical Music

Hudson Hall will open the doors of its newly restored theater with “Classics on Hudson”.  This season, which features musicians who are redefining the world of classical music, will begin on May 7. The performers include NYC quartet, Brooklyn Rider; violinist Tim Fain with pianist Roman Rabinovich and flutist Eugenia Zukerman; and Christopher O’Riley with cellist Matt Haimovitz.
