Voting Open for New Lebanon Library’s New Mascot

This past January, I posted about the New Lebanon Library’s search for a new mascot. The library invited local students(ages 5-18) to submit their own designs, and now it’s time for all of us to vote for our favorite. The winning mascot designer will receive a $50 Amazon Card, and a plush version of their winning mascot.

To vote, stop by the library between now and March 13th to cast your vote for your favorite submission. Only one vote is allowed per person.

New Lebanon Library Mascot Contest

The New Lebanon Library is looking for a new mascot, and area students are invited to submit their own designs. The winning mascot designer will receive a $50 Amazon Card, and a plush version of their winning mascot.

The contest is open to Students in the New Lebanon Area (ages 5-18). Following are the guidelines and details.

What to Submit:
1. Original Artwork (No larger than 8.5X11 inches)—ONLY 1 ENTRY PER CONTESTANT

2.Separate sheet with contestant information (name, grade, contact information and name of the mascot)

Contest Dates: January 2nd, 2018-February 16th, 2018
Voting period: February 17th – mid March (more info on voting to follow)

Berkshire Botanical Garden: Annual Winter Lecture, Jan 13, 2018

The Berkshire Botanical Garden’s 21st annual Winter Lecture is titled “The New Shade Garden: Creating a Lush Oasis in the Age of Climate Change”.

The Berkshire Botanical Garden‘s 21st annual Winter Lecture is titled “The New Shade Garden: Creating a Lush Oasis in the Age of Climate Change”. The lecture, sponsored by The Red Lion Inn, is presented by photographer and author, Ken Druse.

Druse has been called “the guru of natural gardening” by The New York Times, and is best known for his twenty garden books published over the last twenty-five years. The American Horticultural Society listed his first large-format work, “The Natural Garden”, among the best books of all time.

Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2 pm – 4pm.
Snow date: January 14, at 2:00 pm.

ADMISSION:
$35 for members
$45 for nonmembers

Advance registration is highly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome, space permitting.

Capital Region Fall Home Show, October 13 – 15, 2017

The Capital Region Home Show returns! The Fall Home Show is a great resource for anyone who is currently renovating a home, planning their next project, or just daydreaming of ways to improve a space.

As of today (DATE) there are close to 75 exhibitors lined up, and more may join the show as we get closer. Exhibitors will be at the show with home improvement and remodeling exhibits, product demonstrations, and sample interior and exterior vignettes. The show will feature exhibitors from multiple interior and exterior categories including, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Windows, Landscaping, Sheds & Gazebos, Appliances, Solar, Hot Tubs, Energy Conservation, and more.
