Meet The Maker Series: Carlo DeVito, Hudson-Chatham Winery

Hudson Valley Distillers continues it’s Meet The Maker Series with this week’s guest, Carlo DeVito. DeVito is the author of East Coast Wineries, a wine maker, and co-owner of Hudson-Chatham Winery in Ghent NY.

The Hudson-Chatham Winery was established in 2006, and is Columbia County’s first winery. It has become a well-established local and tourist destination, and voted the Capital Region’s Best Local Winery in 2011, 2012, and 2014, and Columbia County’s Best Winery in 2014 and 2015.

Attendees at the Meet The Maker series will be invited to sample Devito’s award winning wines and hear the story behind the wine, the wine maker and the winery.

This is a bi-weekly discussion group focusing on the study of the American Constitution. Interested participants should bring their questions and be ready to share their opinions.

Spencertown Academy Members’ Art Show

Spencertown Academy Arts Center presents its second annual Members’ Art Show featuring oil and watercolor paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics, and sculpture made by 41 Academy community members.

The show was launched in 2016, as an experiment, and a gift from the Academy to its talented members in the visual arts. The show was so well received that new members have joined just so that they could be part of this year’s show. The Academy will hold an Opening Reception on Saturday, April 22, and the show will remain on display through May 7.
