Hannaford Supermarket Coming To New Lebanon

Last November (2010), The Register Star reported on the plans to construct a new Hannaford Supermarket in New Lebanon.

The new Hannaford will be located on the current location of the Gallup Inn, OTB next to the Route 20 plaza. The OTB will move into the former New Lebanon Supermarket, which has been vacant since the supermarket closed.

According to a Hannaford spokesperson, the proposed store will include extensive organic and natural offerings, a butcher shop, produce and seafood departments, a bakery and a deli and a full-service pharmacy. The store will employ 65 associates.

Based in Scarborough, Maine, Hannaford operates 176 stores and employs 27,000 people in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont.

There is no mention of when the store will open or when construction will begin.
