This annual celebration of three essentials will feature food from Cheval Farmstead (Stuyvesant) and Nettle Meadow Farm (Warrensburg). Suzanne from Cheval will also be bringing breads, tarts, and other goodies. There will be a farmer’s market set up to taste before you buy.

J. Stephen Casscles of Athens, NY, author of Grapes of the Hudson Valley, and a winemaker at the Hudson-Chatham Winery, will talk about the history of grape growing and wine making in the Hudson Valley.

Stephen Casscles of Athens, NY, author of Grapes of the Hudson Valley, and a winemaker at the Hudson-Chatham Winery, will talk about the history of grape growing and wine making in the Hudson Valley. The Hudson Valley is a unique wine growing area, using many different kinds of grape varieties to produce a wide range of quality styles of wine. The audience will taste various styles of wine produced by the Hudson-Chatham Winery. Afterwards, the author will sell and sign copies of his book.

The 6th Annual Hudson Berkshire Wine & Food Festival

The 6th Annual Wine and Food Festival will feature beverage trail members plus other regional wineries, distilleries and cideries.

The 6th Annual Wine and Food Festival will feature beverage trail members plus other regional wineries, distilleries and cideries. The Hudson-Berkshire Beverage Trail is the premiere beverage trail in New York State’s Hudson Valley and the Berkshires of Massachusetts. The trail extends from south of Albany, through the Berkshires, and down through Columbia County, NY.

The Memorial Day Weekend festival will also include gourmet cheeses, baked goods, jams, jellies and more from farm producers. Plus, there will be special seminars by some of the region’s foremost experts in the craft beverage industry.

Drag Queen Story Time

Hudson Area Library and Out Hudson bring you story time with Ella Ghent. Drag Queen Story Time is a family-friendly and inclusive event. Striving to celebrate differences, breaking down barriers and dressing up, Ella will be reading stories, accompanied with a ukulele, that celebrate diversity, self expression and creativity. There will be also be a drag treasure chest with costumes for kids and complimentary cookies from Trixie’s Oven. Ella Ghent lives in the city of Hudson, and is a versatile performer in speech, drama, movement, storytelling, song and clowning. She has also studied Waldorf education.

Hudson Valley Distillers Drip & Sip, Nov 9

Hudson Valley Distillers is hosting it’s first Drip & Sip event on Thursday. Attendees to the painting party will enjoy cocktails, local beer, and wine while painting a fall scene on canvas. There will also be a light fare menu of food for sale.
