The Columbia Land Conservancy is hosting a Halloween party for people and their pups on October 30. Put your pooch in their best attire and head over to Ooms for an evening of fun.  The CLC will have treats, a doggy photo booth, and a costume contest. Winner gets a goody bag of dog-related treats from the CLC store. Drop in at any time.

The Columbia Land Conservancy invites you to fall for fall on a guided walk at Borden’s Pond Conservation Area this Saturday. CLC educators will be on hand to teach you more about how to identify local trees. There will be a follow-up trip to Borden’s in January and compare the fall trees with their winter counterparts.

The Columbia Land Conservancy continues their Sip and Stroll Series with ‘Bats and Brews’ at Harris Conservation Area on Thursday, October 3.

Enjoy a beer and a casual, guided walk around Harris Conservation Area. The Harris property includes 1.9 miles of trails on 76 acres of land. There are a number of different ledges on the property, creating excellent bat habitat.

Pamela Price, Certified Wildlife Biologist and Education Program Coordinator at Mud Creek Environmental Learning Center will give a brief talk about what makes owls OWLS – and much more.

Find out what actions we can take to create a brighter future for our Columbia County owls and us. Price will also have some owl pellets for students to dissect to learn what the owl ate. All are welcome to enjoy this fun family event!
