Crow Cottage at Olde 1811 Antiques is Open in Chatham!

There’s a new/old store in Chatham Village. Crow Cottage, which used to be located on Railroad Avenue in Chatham, has moved into the historic “1811 House” at 2 Austerlitz Street in Chatham village. The building was originally the Stagecoach Tavern when Chatham was known as the hamlet of Groat’s Corner.

The historic building is the perfect setting for Crow Cottage’s expanded offerings of antiques – with new items being added to the store daily. You will also find the primitive and gift items that the store carried in it’s previous location.

Chatham OctoberFeast – Saturday, October 1

Chatham Village will host it’s first ever OctoberFeast this Saturday, October 1, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The day will celebrate the harvest season with local food and family activities throughout the village. The festivities will feature food, music, drink, and an interesting sounding contest.

Get Crocked Cooking Contest

The Get Crocked cooking contest is open to all, and will be a judged contest looking for the best Crock Pot meal. The winning recipe will be part of a round up press release and will be published on the Our Community Cares website and Facebook page. Judging will take place during the day, and participants are to arrive no later than 12:30pm with one large crockpot filled with their entry submission, along with a printed copy of the recipe. First prize is $100, and second prize is $50. There’s a $10 entry fee, and you must return a completed entry form, which can be found here.
