Columbia County in Pictures

The squirrel in the picture appears to be flying and he almost is as he propels himself across an all white, snowy backdrop.

The freezing rain that coated us two nights ago switched over to snow when the sun came up giving everything a Winter Wonderland look. Don’t be fooled, that treacherous slick of ice is hiding just below the snow waiting to grab your feet and pull you down. Still, it’s pretty to look at.

How Much Snow Did You Get?

I haven’t busted out the yard stick yet but the following picture does a good job of showing you how much snow we received in the latest storm.

The cone shaped item in the above picture is a bush planted in an urn. The urn alone is more than three-feet tall.

Waiting For Summer

In a few months these Adirondack chairs, perched at the top of a hill, will be the perfect spot for star gazing.
