The Family Pancake Breakfast welcomes spring with great food and family fun. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, homemade cider donuts, a choice of sausage or bacon, fruit, juice, tea & coffee.

Love Apple Farm’s petting zoo will be open and free of charge to visitors. Coloring books will also be available for kids.

The event is part of a series of events at the newly built Love Apple Farm Market, Cafe & Bakery. The farm market, and bakery will also be open for business.

Columbia County 911 Communications Department is a great resource for finding out about emergencies in the county. The Columbia County 911 Department is the lifeline between residents and emergency responders. The department is involved with far more than dispatching responders.

Here is some info from the department’s site:

“There are a whole host of functions we are responsible for, that many people don’t realize.  The Columbia County 911 Department is the official National Weather Service warning point for the County.  Dispatchers are responsible for monitoring severe weather outbreaks and warning emergency response personnel of threatening weather situations.  Our staff disseminates severe weather bulletins via the radio, text notification and our social media pages.  During Hurricane Irene, our department spent countless hours at an elevated level of readiness, responding to hundreds of calls for service and serious, potentially life threatening, situations”.

A Dallas matriarch pays an unexpected visit to her late son’s former partner, who is now married to another man and raising a young son. Forced to consider the life her son may have had, the woman must now come to terms with her own life choices and how society has changed around her.

WGXC Radical Radio Pledge Drive

WGXC radio, 90.7-FM, is a community radio station based in New York’s Columbia and Greene counties. It’s part of Wave Farm, which is a non-profit arts organization driven by experimentation with broadcast media and the airwaves.

The station is trying to wrap up their Winter Pledge Drive, which has raised $15,158 of their $20,000 goal. If you’d like to make a donation to help them reach that goal, here are a few options to do so.
