The Rider
Based on his a true story, THE RIDER stars breakout Brady Jandreau as a once rising star of the rodeo circuit warned that his competition days are over after a tragic riding accident. Back home, Brady finds himself wondering what he has to live for when he can no longer do what gives him a sense of purpose: to ride and compete. In an attempt to regain control of his fate, Brady undertakes a search for new identity and tries to redefine his idea of what it means to be a man in the heartland of America.

Spencertown Academy’s annual celebration of the art of the garden is Saturday, June 16th. This year the self-guided garden tour will feature a collection of six private gardens located in Red Rock, New Concord, and Spencertown. Back on the tour this year by popular demand, is the garden at 
Ted Hilscher, Claverack native; New Baltimore Town Historian; and U.S. History Teacher at Columbia-Greene Community College, will present a slide show titled Barns of the Hudson Valley. He will discuss the Dutch and English traditions, the differences between Dutch and English barns, the other kinds of outbuildings found on a typical small family farm, and the tasks performed by the farmers in their barns and outbuildings.
