Holiday Fair at Mountain Road School, Dec 8

Mountain Road School in New Lebanon is holding a Holiday Fair this Saturday with local vendors, and artisans, arts and crafts for all ages, food and drink.

The Holiday Fair is a charming school tradition. Families can browse hand-made local items for gift-giving, participate in a hand-craft to take home, and enjoy a wonderful lunch in the Café. Little shoppers can select special treasures for their loved ones and pick a treat for themselves from the Pocket Lady. Festive music will tie it all together as we celebrate the season.

Art Omi inivites visitors to join them this Saturday for an opening celebration for the exhibition All of Us: Portraits of the Ghent Bicentennial, a series of photographs of Ghent residents captured throughout 2018 by photographer Richard Beaven.

All of Us is a vast photographic survey of the present-day Ghent citizenry, and includes portraits of 275 residents, or nearly 5% of the total population of 5,400. All of Us is the final in a yearlong series of events commemorating the 200th anniversary of Ghent’s founding in 1818.
