The Kinderhook Memorial Library presents it’s next History Walk in their series. This walk will focus on Martin Van Buren.

To present day, Martin Van Buren is still our only president to speak English as a second language. With the guidance of staff from the Martin Van Buren national Historic Site, the walk will explore Van Buren’s Dutch heritage. This event is part of the Dutch Heritage Week, which is taking place July 12-19, in the Village of Kinderhook.

Tony Stewart All Star Sprint Car Series at Lebanon Valley Speedway, Jul 14

The All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series is one of the oldest traveling sprint car organizations and is a staple of grassroots, open-wheel racing.


The All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series is one of the oldest traveling sprint car organizations and is a staple of grassroots, open-wheel racing. This winged sprint car tour will be at The Lebanon Valley Speedway along with a $1500 To Win Small Block Modified Event.

Afternoon on a Hill: Actors Read Millay at Steepletop, Jul 13

Edna St. Vincent Millay’s historic home, Steepletop, will be open to visitors for self-guided tours of the house, gardens, and grounds.

Screen Shot 2019-07-08 at 6.36.22 PMEdna St. Vincent Millay’s historic home, Steepletop, will be open to visitors for self-guided tours of the house, gardens, and grounds; docents will provide information and answer questions about Millay’s colorful life, her work, and the history of Steepletop.

At 2pm actors Tyne Daly, Roberta Maxwell, and Amanda Nichols will present a reading of Millay’s work, accompanied by musician Wendy Eisenberg, followed by a wine and cheese reception.

For those who wish to take a tour of Millay’s home afterwards, a 12:30pm tour will be offered for the price of $12.
