Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group, in partnership with Universal, is offering a free broadcast of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ on the YouTube channel, The Shows Must Go On!.

This weekend, watch a Broadway show from your home! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group, in partnership with Universal, is offering a free broadcast of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ on the YouTube channel, The Shows Must Go On!.  The show goes live on Friday at 2pm (EST), and will be viewable for 48 hours afterward.

From Phantom of The Opera at the Royal Albert Hall (2011): In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, Cameron Mackintosh produced a unique, spectacular staging of the musical on a scale which had never been seen before. Inspired by the original staging by Hal Prince and Gillian Lynne, this lavish, fully-staged production set in the sumptuous Victorian splendour of London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall features a cast and orchestra of over 200, plus some very special guest appearances.

DATE/TIME: Starting at 2pm on Friday, April 17 to 2pm on Sunday, April 19, 2020

Here’s the announcement from the Crandell:

“The Crandell’s curtains will be drawn for the foreseeable future, but we’re still working to bring you some of the exciting programming that we’ve had on deck for you this spring. In partnership with some of our favorite distributors, we’re happy to announce the Crandell’s new Virtual Screening Room program. Purchase a ticket through one of the links offered on our website to watch world-class cinema in the comfort and safety of your own home — with 50% of the box office benefitting the continued operations of the Crandell Theatre. This week’s offerings include Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You, Romanian crime caper The Whistlers, and Cannes 2019 Jury fave Bacurau.
