The latest update from the Columbia County Department of Health.

Following is the latest update from the Columbia County Department of Health.

Although our numbers are low, it is IMPORTANT to remember to stay home if you feel symptoms. Recent positives were feeling ill and continued to go to work and/or socialized and potentially exposed many more people, putting them on Mandatory Quarantine for 14 days. Please continue to practice social distancing and wear your mask! 

As of 3:30 pm on August 10, 2020:

– Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.

-Columbia County has 514 confirmed positive cases.

-There are 9 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County. We are monitoring 97 county residents on mandatory quarantine, and there are 22 on precautionary quarantine.

– 468 of the 514 cases have recovered from COVID-19

– 3 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU

-We have received 20,138 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.

Following is the latest update from the Columbia County Department of Health.

As of 12:00 PM on August 2, 2020:

– Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.

-Columbia County has 497 confirmed positive cases, which is 20 more than last week.

-There are 15 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County, up from last week’s 9. We are monitoring 78 county residents on mandatory quarantine, and there are 13 on precautionary quarantine. Last week there were 44 ad 8 (respectively).

– 445 of the 497 cases are recovering from COVID-19

– 3 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU

-We have received 18,537 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.

– Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.

-Columbia County has 477 confirmed positive cases.

-There are 9 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County. We are monitoring 44 county residents on mandatory quarantine, and there are 8 on precautionary quarantine.

– 431 of the 477 cases have recovered from COVID-19

– 5 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU

-We have received 17,321 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.

NYS Coronavirus Update: Message to Young People

According to Governor Cuomo, we are seeing a statistically significant increase in the COVID infection rate in 21- to 30-year-olds.

According to Governor Cuomo, we are seeing a statistically significant increase in the COVID infection rate in 21- to 30-year-olds. Cuomo wants people to remember that young people can get seriously sick and some will die from the virus. Young people can bring it home and give it to others inadvertently. To deliver the message, NY launched a social and PSA campaign to communicate the hard facts to young people.

– Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.

-Columbia County has 468 confirmed positive cases.

-There are 12 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County. We are monitoring 24 county residents on mandatory quarantine, and there are 11 on precautionary quarantine.

– 419 of the 468 cases have recovered from COVID-19

– 9 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU

-We have received 15,636 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.
