Sweet Marie are Katie and Gabbi Eklund, Sisters, Singers and Songwriters. The sister duo began performing at age ten with the Delaware Youth Ensemble and soon thereafter became influenced by folk, blues and rock. From the beginning they were determined and inspired to write and perform their own music. While they often write independently, they are equally likely to write together, each bringing their own unique style to the music. They are accomplished guitarists whose trademarks are beautiful harmonies and well- crafted songs. Sweet Marie have opened for Brandi Carlile, Thompson Square and American Nomads and have appeared at Mountain Jam the last two years.
