2019 marks Chatham NY’s 150th anniversary. The village is kicking off the celebration this Friday at the Tracy Memorial Village Hall with a Casual Open House.

2019 marks Chatham NY’s 150th anniversary. The village is kicking off the celebration this Friday at the Tracy Memorial Village Hall with a Casual Open House. The Tracy will be decorated with historical photographs of the Village, and the evening, hosted by the Friends of the Tracy, will be filled with delicious local foods, thirst-quenching drinks,
friendly conversations and fascinating history.

There will be a historical presentation in the upper hall at 6:15 and again at 7:00. A free raffle will also be offered featuring a prize of hundreds of dollars of local Merchant gift certificates and Friends of the Tracy trinkets.

Our sixth annual fundraising bash starts off with karaoke hosted by Amanda Lees, followed by dancing to the music of Blueberry (www.blueberrylounge.com) straight into 2019. Then, DJ Var (WGXC’s “Friday Night Vibes Session”) takes control into the wee hours. Your $10-$20 (sliding scale) contribution at the door benefits WGXC 90.7-FM. Food will be available all night from the Taste of India food truck, with a portion of food sales also to benefit WGXC. The entire event will be broadcast live on 90.7-FM and wgxc.org. This Saturday is Chatham OctoberFeast in the village of Chatham, NY. The annual fall harvest celebration features events and activities, local food, and talent. 

This Saturday is Chatham OctoberFeast in the village of Chatham, NY. The annual fall harvest celebration features events and activities, local food, and talent.

Main Street will be closed to traffic and picnic tables will be set up. Enjoy all your favorite fall foods from local restaurants, as well as outside food vendors and food trucks. There will be two stages of entertainment and WDST will be doing a live broadcast. There will be plenty of kids activities including fall-themed crafts, pumpkin painting, and a giant slide by the gazebo. Bimi’s will have large games set up on the street in front of their store: Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4 and Cheese Toss.

Join Hudson Valley Vegans for a festive progressive dinner! We have worked with three Red Hook venues to provide three delicious vegan courses – just for us, on this special evening. All are welcome from the community- Vegan or just vegan-curious. Come out, support Red Hook venues, and see how delicious vegan/plant-based dishes can be.

The evening begins at 5:30 pm at Yum Yum Noodle Bar for appetizers. After that, stop no 2 is at Flatiron Restaurant, where the restaurant will prepare three family-style entrees. Finally, at 7:30, enjoy scrumptious vegan desserts by Terry of Terry’s Bakeshop fame, at the Enchanted Cafe.
