Drag Queen Story Time is a family-friendly and inclusive event. Striving to celebrate
differences, breaking down barriers and of course dressing up! There will also be a drag treasure chest with costumes for kids and complimentary cookies from Trixie’s Oven.

Originally from Chicago, Ella Ghent lives in the city of Hudson; Ella is a multi talented
performer in speech, drama, movement, storytelling, writing/singing songs, poetry and clowning. She has studied Waldorf education and her daytime persona (Michael) is the co-director and actor of The Camphill Hudson Players. Locally Ella has performed at Club Helsinki, Red Dot, Hudson Hall and various Camphill communities nationwide. Ella also unicycles in the Out Hudson and Flag Day Parades. Ella has lived in Columbia County for 11 years and has spent the last 7 years in Hudson.

OutHudson is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to improve the quality of life and advance the visibility of LGBTQ people in Columbia County. In addition to sponsoring multiple events throughout the year, OutHudson is the sponsor of the LGBTQ Pride Weekend in Hudson, NY.

Historic Bridges of the Hudson Valley presents the Third Annual Skywalk Arts Festival this Sunday, with celebrations on both sides of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.

Activities at Olana: 9am – 4pm – Get some exercise with yoga in the landscape, poetry walks, walking tours & Gracie’s food truck.

Festival at the Rip Van Winkle Bridge Park- Catskill: 12pm – 4pm – Enjoy local art, art activities, music & Carnival Foods food truck.

Performance of Light across the Hudson River: 1pm – Experience a performance by contemporary artist Shi Guorui connecting the three Skywalk locations with beams of light over the Hudson River.

Contemporary Art Opening – Catskill: 2 – 4pm – See the new exhibition SHI GUORUI: Ab/Sense-Pre/Sense featuring giant camera obscura landscape photographs at the Thomas Cole Historic Site.

PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century, presents their final Movement Without Borders workshop of the 2019 summer season with a SoundWalk, on Saturday, led by Grace Osborne and Edisa Weeks of Skeleton Architecture.

PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century, presents their final Movement Without Borders workshop of the 2019 summer season with a SoundWalk, on Saturday, led by Grace Osborne and Edisa Weeks of Skeleton Architecture.

Skeleton Architecture is a Bessie-Award-winning collective of African American women and gender-nonconforming artists rooted in the power of the collective in practice and improvisation. Embodied Listening is a guided workshop that explores PS 21’s orchards and trails focusing on vocal toning, listening, and medicine melodies. Weeks is the founder of Delirious Dances, where through choreography she merges theater and dance in intimate environments. Osborne is a musical virtuoso whose principal instrument is the flute. Movement Without Borders brings the best and brightest in the dance world to PS21 to teach pay-what-you-wish classes all summer long.

The 7th Annual Roe Jan Ramble Bike Tour is Saturday, September 21 through the sponsor towns of Ancram, Copake and Hillsdale.

The 7th Annual Roe Jan Ramble Bike Tour is Saturday, September 21 through the sponsor towns of Ancram, Copake and Hillsdale. This community event is a non-competitive ride, and perfect for both the casual as well as committed cyclist. Whether you enjoy a simple ride with your family, or you are an experienced dedicated cyclist, the Ramble offers something for everyone.

Screen Shot 2019-09-16 at 7.41.49 PMThis year there are six routes to choose from (10, 18, 25, 35, 50 miles and the new – 100km or 62.5 miles) on quiet country roads in some of the most beautiful scenery of the Hudson Valley & Taconic foothills you’ve ever seen.

The Ramble is run by volunteers, and the goal is to share the pleasure of riding through our scenic countryside, while raising money to support and extend the Harlem Valley Rail Trail for bikers, joggers, walkers & everyone.

While the ride is free, donations for the Harlem Valley Rail Trail are encouraged. Funds raised will be used to connect the trail from Copake Falls to Hillsdale, and then continue north. The Rail Trail is a paved bicycle/pedestrian path built on the railbed of the old Harlem Line of the New York Central Railroad.

You MUST wear a helmet to participate in the Ramble. Junior registrants (those under 18 years old) must bring a hardcopy of the registration form, signed by a parent or guardian.

Join Shaker Museum | Mount Lebanon and Alan Devoe Bird Club in the first of a series of free workshops and bird walks at the Mount Lebanon historic site. Up to 100 species of birds are reported to potentially inhabit the woodlands and wetlands in the area of New Lebanon, NY where the Shakers once lived, and yet only 32 species have been identified since 2014. Help us get to 100!

Please bring your own binoculars and smart phones to the workshop and download the free app, Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab, onto your phone before arrival. New birders and walk-ins welcome!
