Join FASNY Museum of Firefighting for a free in-person event on Saturday, June 18th: Big Truck Day!

Learn all about big trucks and even sit in the truck cabs! Firetrucks, a garbage truck, a street cleaner, a school bus, and many more vehicles will be visiting the Museum for the day, so come check out all the BIG truck action! When you complete your BIG truck tour, try your hand at the BIG truck prize punch game.

All activities are FREE and will be outdoors (rain or shine). FREE admission to the Museum will also be offered to all who attend this special event. Keep on truckin’ to the Museum for this special event!

Thank you to all of the BIG Truck Day participants from the City of Hudson FD, Greenport FD, City of Hudson DPW, and First Student.

Join FASNY Museum of Firefighting for a free in-person event on Saturday, January 15th: Weird Science with Professor Sparks.

Join FASNY Museum of Firefighting for a free in-person event on Saturday, January 15th: Weird Science with Professor Sparks. Come spend the morning exploring the science of fire. Professor Sparks and her robot canine companion, Spot 2000, will present an interactive program that is full of surprises. After the program make your own “slime” to take home. Only Professor Sparks can make learning about science this much fun.

This hands-on program is appropriate for children ages 5 and up.

Jeffrey Gibson’s exhibition, To Feel Myself Beloved on the Earth, at Art Omi closes on January 2, 2022.

Gibson’s exhibition of quilts, garments, drums, prints, and video will be on display for the next two weeks. Gibson is a Choctaw-Cherokee artist known for his abstract painting, sculpture and prints. His use of language as a visual element permeates the installed works, examining race, sexuality, religion, and gender. The result is a rich, layered experience both poignant and celebratory.

Head to the Mahaiwe in Great Barrington for their annual, traditional showing of 1939’s The Wizard of Oz, on Friday, November 26.
