The Kinderhook Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday until October 8, 2016. The vendors offer everything from local produce and meats to locally distilled whiskey and ready-to-eat prepared foods. There are also different events held most Saturdays including this coming Saturday’s Handcrafted pottery from Kristen King, and Clumtree Baskets will be both selling hand-crafted baskets, and allowing kids to try their hand at basket-making.

The Kinderhook Farmers’ Market will be held every Saturday — rain or shine — from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. The market is located on the Village Green in Kinderhook, New York, at the intersection of U.S. Route 9 (Broad/Chatham Streets) and Albany Avenue.

Columbia County in Pictures: Summer Flowers

My slice of Columbia County is on the North face of a fairly large, wooded hill. It’s beautiful, and never gets too hot, but there’s no one spot in the yard that receives true, full sunlight. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of flowering plants that grow in low light.
