Hocus Pocus at the Mahaiwe

This weekend, the Mahaiwe is showing is the 1993 Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus. 

 

The Mahaiwe is now open for screenings to limited capacity audiences, with a variety of horror and campy content through the month of October! This weekend’s showing is the 1993 Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus

This fantasy-comedy stars Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker as three troublemaking Salem witches resurrected on Halloween night. (PG, 1h, 36min.)

New Lebanon Library’s Crafteens: Crystal Ball Ornament

Here’s the info from the library:
 
For young adults ages 12 and up, we’ll be providing you with updated craft kits and more creatively challenging projects for you to work on. This month, we’ll have you making cool Crystal Ball designs that you can use for a suncatcher, or oversized key chain or ornament for whatever needs a spooky touch. Kits will be out Wednesday and Thursday and are first-come, first-served. The tutorial will be on the library website at 4PM.

The Hudson Area Library presents ‘Raising the Dead: Tales from Hudson’s Crypts’ with Kelley Drahushuk on Saturday, October 24th

LocalHistoryCemetery2020The Hudson Area Library presents ‘Raising the Dead: Tales from Hudson’s Crypts’ with Kelley Drahushuk on Saturday, October 24th at noon. This will be a special, socially-distanced guided tour of Cedar Park Cemetery.

As this is a walking tour, wear appropriate footwear & dress for the weather & conditions. You may encounter uneven ground, semi-steep hills, and mud and will not always be sticking to the paved pathways.

Mask wearing required at all times.
